Charles T. Daniel
Charles Daniel manages closely held financial assets, and also consults on equipment procurement, quality control, and management issues for companies in the transportation equipment leasing industry, which he has done independently since 2004. He was CEO of Midtown Daniel Corporation, a commercial real estate holdings concern in New York City, from 1995 to 2003, and its Treasurer prior to that. He has worked in management positions for Transamerica Leasing, a unit of Transamerica Corporation and subsequently Aegon Corporation, from 1984 through 1998. He has designed intermodal transportation equipment for the steamship and railroad industries and has managed the maintenance/repair of this equipment, and equipment and parts procurement, balancing issues of cost containment against concerns of equipment safety and durability. Charles started his career as a transportation systems engineer specializing in railway networks and signalization.
Charles is currently President of The Princeton Committee on Foreign Relations, and has served on its Board of Advisors since 2003. Charles holds a B.A. in Engineering from Lafayette College, an M.S. in Transportation from M.I.T., and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society in the study of business. He was nominated to Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society, and is a full member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He and his wife, Melissa, have visited sixty countries on business or while touring.
