Lynne Dominick Novack
Lynne Dominick Novack is a senior fellow and associate director of the Tower Center’s National Security & Defense Program at Southern Methodist University. She was associate director for programs at SMU’s Tower Center from 2005-09. From 2000-2006, she was executive director of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations (DCFR). Formerly, she spent 6 years as Director of the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations, while serving as executive assistant to the president of the University of Tulsa. During her 15 years in Tulsa, she did international program planning, organizing and directing 10 international conferences, from cultural to trade to policy conferences.
As a founder of The American Committees on Foreign Relations (ACFR), she was president of ACFR from 1996-1999. She continues as an at-large member of the ACFR board of directors and serves on the executive committee. Ms. Novack is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on the National Program committee. She is also a member of the American Council on Germany, and the Pacific Council on International Policy. In Dallas, she serves on the board of DCFR and the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, along with the Museum of Nature & Science. She has served on several boards and commissions, including the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline (1982-84), and The President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities (1989-93).
